CA Foundation – the budding stage for the dreams of all Chartered Accountancy students. CA exams and registration for Chartered Accountancy are handled by ICAI. ICAI is the organization for registration and declaration of results for CA examinations. The results for the CA foundation examination conducted in the month of December 2023 have been released on the official website of ICAI.
Candidates can log in to the official website of ICAI and check their results on the result page listed on their website. Students can analyze their performance based on the answer key provided on our website and can self-assess themselves even before the announcement of results. Results can be seen even through emails and messages. ICAI even announces detailed information like a statement of marks, pass certificate, merit list, and also toppers list. ICAI has made these arrangements to make the students comfortable.
ICAI – CA Foundation Result
CA foundation results are published on the official website of the ICAI Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Dates to be remembered for CA foundation results are

Results will be even announced through message and/ or through mail; one has registered with ICAI during the CA Foundation registration of the Foundation exam.
Steps by step process to check the result on ICAI website:
- Visit ICAI Website icai.org
- Click on the results page on the above-mentioned website.
- In the result, page click on the month and year of your attempted CA foundation examination.
- This will pop up to your 2020 December CA foundation examination.
- Enter your roll number and the password on the window screen.
- Now the result for your 2020 foundation exam will appear. Take a printout of it.
Other ways of checking results through Email or SMS
Results for CA foundation can be checked through other ways. ICAI has made it easier for the candidates to check their results. A student can get his/her results through sms or mail. They can register for getting their results through sms /mail during their registration for CA foundation examinations.

CA MERIT LIST
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will release a merit all over India.
- Open ICAI official webpage
- Click on the foundation and then click on to merit list.
- Log in to it entering your roll number and the password you have used for registering.
- Click enter
- Then your merit list will appear on the screen.
- Take a printout if needed.
Chartered Accountancy Course details to be noted
A student can clear CA foundation only when he has scored a minimum of 40% in each subjects and a combined score of all subjects should above 50%. Only then a candidate could get into the CA Intermediate. Distinction is scoring above 70% overall.
How to download the Mark sheet for CA foundation Course Results?
Mark sheet for CA foundation course result will be issued to all the candidates who have scored above 50% in their exams. Mark sheet will be sent to the registered address which the candidate has given during the registration of CA foundation examination.
Revaluation of CA Foundation Result
Students those who feel that they have not being awarded for what they have presented in their exams can apply for revaluation after a month. Portal for applying revaluation will only open after a month and can apply through the online portal. If your results change due to revaluation & have been awarded marks, then your money for revaluation will be refunded. One can even apply for revaluation in offline mode. That is one should write a handwritten letter with a verification fees along with the details of the candidate and post it to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
In the same way, one can even get the photocopy of their corrected paper, both through online and offline mode. Make sure that the application reaches the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Unpublished or Withheld results:
There will be cases where one’s results will be withheld by ICAI. Those special cases are due to the certain reasons.
They are:
- If documents of a candidate has not been submitted properly and a candidate having document verification pending will not get their result.
- If a student/candidate has involved in malpractice and has been caught by the invigilator, then the result for those candidates will be withheld by ICAI.
These are the only two main reason ICAI will withheld the result of a candidate, other than them everyone’s result will be published in their official website.
After getting cleared in the CA foundation course
One can enrol for CA Intermediate after getting cleared in the CA foundation. They can enrol in the same official website of ICAI and can start preparing their syllabus for CA intermediate. After entering CA intermediate one has to take up training in Information technology, only then he can take up the CA intermediate examinations. This training is given by ICAI for the period of 4 weeks. After taking the training and also have been in the month of CA examinations then he/she can take up the CA intermediate examinations in that particular batch.
